Bibliotheca – Hal Lindsey and Robert Spencer
“The world is too dangerous to live in – not because of people who do evil, but because of people who sit and let it happen.”
Albert Einstein
Hal Lindsey in his best-selling book (Everlasting Hatred – The Roots of Jihad) explains how, on September 11th, an ancient fight-to-the-death conflict exploded on the shores of the U.S. Though most Americans didn’t realize it, we were already involved in a struggle driven by hatred that dates back as far as 4,000 years. Islamic fundamentalists’ purpose is to replace the Judeo-Christian world order with an Islamic world order.
Many people wonder:
- Why do so many Muslims hate Jews?
- Why do Islamic fundamentalists (fascists) hate the United States and call it “The Great Satan?”
- Why did Islamic terrorists sacrifice their own lives to kill Americans?
- Do Islamic fundamentalists have access to weapons of mass destruction?
- Could Islamic terrorists imperil the survival of the United States?
- Are the Islamic fundamentalists an aberration of the Muslim religion, or are they – as they claim – the “True followers of Mohammed.”
Lindsey’s book covers both Biblical and secular history, bringing hope to the coming “perilous times.”
- The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) by Robert Spencer … When politically correct propagandists assure us that jihadist terror doesn’t reflect “true” and “peaceful” Islam, Spencer writes in his book that they are wrong. In addition to not telling the truth about its own history of Islam, they have also replaced the truth about Christian Europe and the Crusades; yet Spencer does not address the fact that the Turks of the Republic of Turkey are a Muslim nation and are allies to the Western world and have even experienced terrorist attacks of their own. Spencer also does not recall the Vatican and its cohorts who were behind the monarchy and political power of Europe for a period of time. It is true that Islamic conquerors swept toward Rome to overpower and take over the Christian world, despite Mohammed’s words that the “People of the Book” must be respected. But he wrote that when his power was not yet attained and relied on the sympathy of the Christian kings, one of whom saved him from being taken in chains back to Mecca for execution by the ruling merchants there.

- James Forest, Ph.D. – Terrorist do not only learn their trade at isolated camps and underground bomb making facilities, but also learn the ideas and methods that guide their work over the Internet. Dr. Forest argues that we need to confront them when they’re active – online and with the vigor of the entire American population- not only that of the government.
- Charles Mitchell – A growing number of university professors are not just teaching the old anti-American line that the United States deserved 9/11 – they are now saying that America actually caused 9/11 as part of a sinister plot. Charles Mitchell wonders why this is protected as free speech, yet less politically correct, though far less insidious, statements are quickly condemned.
- Molly McCarroll – Many Democrats and media officials have reacted to the Bush administration’s decision to call terrorists by their more precise name, Islamic fascists, with scorn, derision, and skepticism. But is their objection really to the fascist label, as they say, or to the clear acknowledgement that religion plays an integral role in politics?

Doug Giles – “There’s a prevalent perception among Christians that when it comes to conflict (like the War on Terror)), Christ’s teachings go limper than an Ed laden Pillsbury Dough Boy after six hours in a Sioux sweat lodge.”

Myth Blaster – “Champagne of Bottled Beer” Supports Illegal Immigrants
Joan B., Illinois sent this e-mail concerning Miller Brewing Company …
To: Writers in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan
(1)Please blast Miller Brewing Co. for its “sponsorship” of this weekend’s illegal alien in Chicago, “Why this immigrant rights march is brought to you by Miller,” Chicago Tribune, 9/1.
This is disgusting and can not be allowed to pass without a large-scale condemnation of the Milwaukee-based brewer. Now we have large corporations “sponsoring” those dedicated to undermining the rule of law and mocking our sovereignty. Can you believe that on a weekend set aside to honor American workers this company is actually going to bat for those who have stolen their jobs and wages?
Make known your feelings about this despicable marketing gimmick from the country’s second-largest brewer whose flagship product for decades has been called “The Champagne of Bottled Beer.”

Peninsula News – Labor Day Weekend – September 2-4, 2006
- Demolition operations are about over after the fatal Door County gas explosions occurred last month. Crews will soon have the remains of a maintenance building at the Cedar Grove Resort removed. It was damaged in a series of propane explosions that occurred in Ellison Bay on July 10th. Another building at the resort and a 136-year-old grocery store was lost as well. There was sadness at seeing the old grocery store historical landmark demolished. Killed in the explosions were Patrick Higdon and Margaret Brooks Higdon of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan who were staying in a duplex while on vacation with other family members, including three children, two of who were seriously injured along with 12 others slightly injured.
