Upcoming Congressional Election – Diatribe in Political Arena

   Diatribe in the political arena is now focused on the upcoming congressional election. Jacob Weisberg, Slate, tries to be objective in his article: May the Best Man Lose, but falls short.

If the Democrats want to see more supporters, they are going to have to do several things: (1) clean up its image by getting rid of the radical Left – tell them to find another political party, like the Democratic Socialist Party; (2) Get rid of the present “elite” who says they are for the American citizen working class, but continues to try to keep President Bush’s tax cut from being permanent, begin a real campaign of protecting national security, quit the hate-speech rhetoric that they always accuse the GOP of, and quit trying to develop more social programs when the ones in place are already inefficient and draining the U.S. Treasury; (3) reassess the need to back up labor unions, especially those that are counterproductive in its labor endeavors. Among other things.

Light Side of Lighthouse – New Car

I just got my new Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition and returned to the dealer because I couldn’t get the radio to work.  The salesman explained that the radio was voice activated.   ”Watch this.”  Then he said “Nelson.”

The Radio replied “Ricky or Willie?”
“Willie,”  he said, and “On The Road Again” came from the speakers.

I drove away happy, and for the next few days, every time I’d say “Beethoven” I’d get beautiful classical music, and if I said “Beatles” I’d get one of their awesome songs.

One day, a couple ran a red light and nearly creamed my new car.  I swerved in time to avoid them and yelled “ASS****! “  

Immediately the French National Anthem began to play, sung by Hilary Clinton and Michael Moore, backed up by John Kerry on guitar, Al Gore on drums, Bill Clinton on sax and Ted Kennedy on booze…

Man, I LOVE this car!
