Platt Liebau  According to Carol Platt Liebau, discussing the Foley scandal, that

it seems that things haven’t turned out quite like the Democrats expected. In an ABC News/Washington Post poll taken between October 5 and 8, three-quarters of respondents said that the Democrats wouldn’t have handled the Foley matter any better than Republicans had. What’s more, a Pew Research Center survey taken between September 21 and October 4 found that the scandal hadn’t changed the margin by which voters reported they preferred Democrats to Republicans. In fact, the job approval of Republican leaders actually rose one point after the scandal broke.

Bookmark Sign Where is the line drawn between freedom of speech and loyalty to one’s country? When does the right to protest and conduct demonstrations for an advocacy become public harassment? Apparently Cindy Sheehan knows no difference. Most everyone has become familiar with this person and her name. She regrettably lost her son in a war to free the Iraqi people (who thought would occur after expelling Saddam Hussein’s forces out of Kuwait in Operation Free Kuwait) – but so have others. Have those parents, wives and loved ones demonstrated against their country’s government, publicly ridiculed the President of the United States in a foreign country in a televised interview? Well, we have heard Cindy’s views and beliefs; some may have even read her published book, although few showed up for her book signing events. Now it is time to reveal a book that tells the other side of the story. Cindy Sheehan has had her time front stage - now it is time to tell the story of other families who lost someone in war, someone who doesn’t turn their grief into hatred for their own country. Someone who doesn’t appear on television with foreign national leaders to mock and show disrespect towards America and its President.
