Senator John Kerry’s quote as spoken in a speech given to students in Pasadena while campaigning for Phil Angelides:
Education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.
Liberal-Progressive blogs last week strongly supports John Kerry and even praised him for his comment, but some members of the DNC were upset saying that Kerry could
cost us the 2004 election. I don’t think we should allow him to cost us again. I wish he would just shut up and go away.
NO, Kerry, keep talking. You represent the elite hierarchy within the party and maybe the DNC will wake up and reform itself so voters will have better choices to elect in Congress. This may prevent Kerry’s intentional run for the presidential candidacy in 2008. Hopefully, Massachusetts voters will finally get rid of this embarrassment. Kerry stated that it was just a botched joke. But if you heard the speech (and read the transcription above), one can see he is lying, just as he lied before a congressional hearing in the 1970s and during election year 2004. Senator John McCain demanded an apology from Kerry and others on the Democrat side are silent on the issue.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat has posted the 31-page document called The New Direction for America Book – but it is really nothing new. Professing to make America safer and economy more “fair” (which means diverting funds from productive Americans to non-productive) the “new direction” is riff of the same old stuff. It incites the increase in the scope of government and the levels at which it involves itself in the personal lives of Americans, as well as promoting social programs that doesn’t help government’s fiscal responsibility. It professes that the DNC will make health care and college more affordable and
…to guarantee a dignified retirement for all Americans.
Of course the specifics are not present, but in review of their past initiatives and political ideology, it will only be higher taxation, amnesty for illegal immigrants and catering to what the Mexican government wants instead of what is good for America.
