American Justice System: It’s Broke

Remember Jose Padilla? He was suspected of plotting with an al-Qaida group to set off a radioactive bomb (“dirty bomb”) in the United States. He was found guilty and sentenced (January 22nd) to 17 years and four months (he was facing a life sentence as suggested by federal prosecutors) on terrorism conspiracy charges.
