SITREP: Where Are All Those "Moderate" Muslims? by Tom Carew

Tom Carew, [not to be confused with Thomas Carew, an English poet of the 16th century or an African campaign general of Sierra Leone] for those of you new to LPJ, he is a scholar of Middle East culture and history independent researcher respected in the international community, self-taught philosopher, a friend of the plight of Israel, and honored guest writer, Friend of LPJ, here at Lighthouse Patriot Journal from Dublin, Ireland. Reading a recent entry, it seems he dabbles in philosophy as well, a subject I have been interested most of my adult life - Is there a Soul-Mate for Everyone?  And in another article posted by Tom Carew, he writes about the recent anti-American racist remarks by Rev. Wright, of which UK writers have been writing in his article Daphna Ziman, demonstrating that Senator Obama’s “mentor”, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is not alone concerning that subject material.

The new Gallup book **Who speaks for Islam ? What a Billion Muslims really think**, by John L. Esposito and Dalia Mogahed, claims to be informed by polling and 6 years of research, but most of their data has not been released to the public or media by Gallup.  Nonetheless, even their utterly slanted report [which carefully avoids even the term **radical**, and substitutes instead their systematically misleading coinage of **politically radicalized**, which implies no link between their Jihadi terror and their reading of Islam and their Quran] suggests a very troubling and grave security threat across the Muslim world.
Seven out of 19 Muslims globally [36.62% or 476m from a total 1300m] are  - to varying extents -  supporters of the fanatical Jihadi.
Some 91m [ about the combined populations of Austria and Germany ] regard the 9-11 mass murder in NYC as **completely justified**.
Another 6.5% or 84.5m,  consider the 9-11 Lower Manhattan massacre of civilians  to be **justified** -  well over twice the population of Poland or California, or similar to the population of Germany.
And 23.1% or 300m, regard it as **somewhat justified** - which is about 5 times the current UK or French or Italian population,  or equal to the current US population.
Those total some 476m,  or 36.62% of the global Muslim  population, which is a very significant level of support for Jihadi terror when you also consider the level of popular support enjoyed by the Nazis in 1933 in Germany, who never needed or achieved an overall majority. The Nazi  vote was as follows:
July, 1932        13,745,800  =  37.4 %
Nov, 1932         11,737,000  =  33.1%
March, 1933     17.277,000  =  43.9 %
If you mobilized only 0.5%  [ or 1 in 200 ] of the most hard-core element, from among the 91m of Muslims globally who regard 9-11 as **completely  justified**,  or roughly the pro-rata  level of full-time personnel in the regular UK Forces before the Warsaw Pact dissolved, that still gives 455,000 Jihadi, which is close to the current size of the  regular US Army, or about 4.5 times the current regular British Army.

There are actually some people who call themselves Americans and United Kingdom citizens  who actually believe in the propaganda that the War on Terrorism was concocted by the Bush administration. They will be in for a rude awakening whoever next becomes president, unless this Fifth Element, Leftist organization in America and the United Kingdom continue with its anti-democracy rhetoric against the next elected President of the United States.

Scholars like Tom Carew, Dr. Kuntzel, Dr. MacEoin and other Middle East scholars are trying to counter this propaganda well infiltrated in social circles, academic (?) and political organizations who are attempting to provide misinformation and rhetoric that benefits the enemy of the free world - Islamic fundamentalism/terrorism/fascism. A new era of anti-Semitism has arisen in Europe and has been infiltrated here into the United States that makes Israel as the aggressor against the Arab nations who would seek to destroy the little country who has sought peace among its neighbors for decades, yet when defending itself it is chastised by the self-professed members of the global organization called the United Nations (UN) that has become nothing but a mouthpiece for the despots and tyrants of the world and a source of international corruption.

Once the cadre of those whose purpose is of enlightenment, like Mr. Carew and others, are gone - who will take their place? Hopefully energetic and responsible students of these great scholars. Is that not the purpose of the academic world?
