Searching For Truth in a Sea of Misinformation

Searching For Truth in a Sea of Misinformation

In this edition, Issue #005, Mother Jones gloats over Democrat victory …

In the aftermath of a decisive defeat, Republicans and conservatives are nursing their wounds and wondering what went wrong.[i] …Many have come up with an easy answer: the GOP has drifted from its core principles …[ii] What are the two core principles of the Republican Party? Cutting taxes (to ensure a smaller government)[iii] … Now look at the George W. Bush and John McCain campaign. The core issues were tended to by both. Bush pushed tax cuts and started two wars (one of them elective!).[iv] … Bush has ended up an unpopular president because he was both conservative and incompetent.[v]

The rest is just Leftist rhetoric. President GW Bush and Senator John McCain were more gracious losers than some of the “winners” on the Left.

Except when President-elect Obama releases any news of his administration appointments, his intended policies, and a list of Bush executive orders he intends to rescind – I am only going to address that, giving him a chance to show his stuff as Commander-in-Chief and President of the United States. And, wouldn’t it be a good idea to put ALL candidates under a background check before allowing them to enter a presidential and senatorial campaign? These people have access to important classified material. In order to obtain a Secret security clearance classification, which was a prerequisite to the particular military school I had endeavored to attend; I had to have a complete background check (and later upgraded to a Top Secret after a more intensified background check that went back as far as my high school days, because of the nature of my military occupation). After filling out a stack of forms that had to be exact and true, no mistakes – for mistakes are considered a false affidavit and could possibly lead to not receiving the classification.

The question here is: Why are candidates for President and the Senate (who are attend committees that have classified material present) exempt? According to a former FBI agent, Senator Obama would have failed receiving a Secret clearance, much less a Top Secret. The President of the United States, for obvious reasons, has access to EVERYTHING. This is a matter that is important, while coming up during the campaign – it was completely ignored by the mainstream press AND the American voter.

What the American voter needs to do is examine the Constitution Party and its candidates – the ones you saw on the ballot, along with the Green Party (definitely socialist) and the Socialist Party of America, as well as independents that were on the ballot if they met the requirements of that particular state voting laws – another thing that doesn’t add up in a national election. If Alan Keyes (America’s Independent Party) had been on the Wisconsin ballot, he would have gotten my vote.

The American voter needs to start thinking outside of the box – ignoring the implanted propaganda coming from both Democrats and Republicans where it is taboo to support or vote for a third party or independent. Alan Keyes solved the problem of being independent by initiating the Independent Party. The main entity that institutes this bias or rather the key element is the mainstream media. Since when is it within their authority to decide who gets coverage during a campaign and who does not, or who is “eligible” to be a candidate at all?

The elected position as president should be someone, however, who has some experience in public office. Senator Obama had about 260 days of experience, yet we have Moonbat bloggers comparing Barack Obama to Winston Churchill, who spent his entire adult life from his 20s to his death involved in statesmanship. Obama is a politician and has not proved himself a statesman, as of yet. Or another source at Guardian, UK who hopes that Obama will be “heir to John F. Kennedy“. (That could be possible because JFK was questioned on certain things, certainly not character or association – but made wise decisions). However, “turning his country away from the divisive ‘war on terror’” is not or was not JFK’s style. Oliver Stone, American film director, screenwriter and controversial commentator (well, just plain controversial in just about everything) doesn’t know his subject material or about President JFK’s administration.

We will see, and I will give him more of a chance than the Left did for President GW Bush.

Some Republicans may be poor losers, but the candidates who ran and lost are not – being a good winner is just as important as well.

Leftist Moonbats: quit gloating and get on with the business at hand.

Conservatives, Libertarians and Republicans, Religious Right, et cetera: Quit belly aching – your party dug its own grave and dragged the grassroot conservatives down with you.

And one final word …

I am deeply disturbed at the reports of plans to and any attempts at harming our 44th President. I didn’t vote for him, but I would rather work with him, write to him (respectfully as a President) than such anarchist behavior I am reading about. Racism, on both sides of the skin pigmentation fence, need to join the 21st century and think like Americans should think – President-elect Barack Hussein Obama will be the 44th President as of January 20th, because the majority of voters have made it so. Period. Mr. Obama is not an African-American; he is the American President of the United States. If I don’t agree with his policies and am worried about what direction America will take during his term in office, which is one thing. But it will not benefit America by any harm coming to our president. Maybe it is about time to bankrupt or dissolve the organizations (ALL) that promote racism or declaring one race or ethnicity is supreme over others.

Nonsense.

This should not be in the background picture of the 21st century, especially in the United States of America. If so, than we are not only not adhering to the principles of our Founders, but vile hypocrites when claiming to be patriotic.

Race should not be the issue, as Martin Luther King taught us – but the character, and it is character that has been the primary issue between myself and Mr. Obama. Character and association are linked, whether they Left wishes to “pooh-pooh” that or not. Policies against the Constitution and the ideology of the Federalist Papers [also see Library of Congress], and the amendments within the Bill of Rights – not whether he is “black”, “white”, “red”, “yellow” or a purple Martian – as long as he has met the requirements of being a president, according to the Constitution and doesn’t try to further our government on the road to a socialist nation. (The only problem here is that it took about another 100 years to finally give up slavery, unacceptable for a democratic republic).

It is on those terms that I would agree or disagree. Being a statesman is primarily principles, character, and a Constitutionalist. A politician is not necessarily a statesman, just because that person chooses political science as his or her career choice.

I wanted to make that very clear. WE need to guard our president, which is the job of the Secret Service, FBI, as well as all Americans, technically – especially the members of the US Armed Forces. It is just as important to protect our president as it is to protect the Constitution. Otherwise, anarchy is the only result. Shame on those who make racist, hateful comments that has nothing to do with actions, ideology or other things that make up an individual and threats are even worse. Those people are not truly Americans because that is not what America is all about.

I have served with, during my 15-year military career, men and women from all over America, different backgrounds, different ethnic and racial backgrounds (diversity) – and we all had one important thing in common – we are Americans.

Now that this is off my chest, check in to the next Obama Watch edition coming soon.

[i] The real grassroot conservatives of America know exactly what went wrong.

[ii] This answer is not the “easy” answer, it is the correct answer – just as the Democrat(ic) Party has gone so far from its true liberalism principles they have reached the crossroad of socialism, which they have a code name for: progressive. Both main parties are defunct in their core principles because they have had the privilege of only competition with each other – this must end, along with the media’s abuse of its power of the press. It is time for a third party to step up with the help of grassroot Americans who want constitutional law to be followed, protected and a limited government – a democratic republic, not a socialist republic.

[iii] This writer has been in the Left camp too long – cutting taxes does NOT ensure a “smaller” government. What provides a limited government is keeping it trim and efficient. This does not necessarily mean cutting out all social programs (welfare programs or whatever folks decide to call it today, to include corporate welfare); however, it does mean that today’s government is concerned with things that should remain in the private sector. And there are other issues that should be listed along with this in discussing a “smaller” limited government.

[iv] A lie. Congress approved both Afghanistan and Iraq campaigns – Bush did nothing illegal there. Why continue the Bush bashing when he is about to depart on Air Force One for the last time in a short time? Who will the Left hate now? The Left could only focus on the war against terrorism and the freedom war of the Iraqi, rarely addressing the real problems with GW Bush – his stance on the illegal immigrant issue, for example. He also used short-term tactics in regards to the economy, when long-term was needed as well.

[v] President GW Bush was not incompetent – he was dysfunctional and wasn’t a good communicator directly to the American people. Left media entities never gave him a chance from the beginning, hardly had he warmed his desk seat in the Oval Office before they were blaming him from what had happened and other events and decisions from the previous administration – just as President-elect Obama will find himself in the same position. However, GW Bush’s primary problem is he chose the wrong people in his administration and the secondary issue, combined with the first, was his lack of communicative skills or at least putting forth an effort to make himself the people’s president. Conservatism is not part of any of this reasoning; however, liberal-socialism and the GOP members that gave into the ideology has been a problem and will continue to be a problem until BOTH political entities have reformed. Once upon a time, liberal and conservatives acted as a secondary check and balance system and actually complimented each other in regards to legislation and performing their sworn duties as members of Congress. That is no longer so. Too often the president (all presidents) have been blamed for what Congress should or shouldn’t have done, the latter being checked by a president who knows when to use his veto power or at least threaten to use it.
