Govt Watch: Pelosi, Carbon Footprints, and Political Hypocrisy

Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker recently spoke to the Chinese about the green movement and carbon foot printing, stating:

Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory … of how we are taking responsibility.

Of course, as a true socialist, this does not apply to those in government who make public policy. Her speech to the Chinese was part of the climate change alarmist movement that has become political consensus rather than scientific fact, as well as demonstrating left political hypocrisy. Ms. Pelosi has come under fire for using the US Air Force as her personal airline, as well as her socialist agenda where the personal life of people other than the government-elite must be inventoried and whose political machine was against the Iraq war claiming that over 4,000 US military members died because GW Bush lied continues to back government policy that has killed 8,030,770 American infants since the start of the Iraq War that toppled the evil regime of Saddam Hussein. The Iraq situation, as well as the Afghanistan War continues in the Obama administration.

Meanwhile, French President Nicolas Sarkozy has appointed Dr. Claude Allègre to be minister of industry and innovation, who was formerly a believer in the human created global warming theory, now called the climate change phenomenon, and who is now a skeptic and says that Nobel Prize winner Al Gore’s documentary film is political.  Mr. Allegre is a former French Socialist Party leader, as well as a member of the French Academy of Sciences and the United States National Academy of Sciences who twenty years earlier was one of the first scientists to warn the public about human induced global warming, but now states that the cause of any drastic climate change is unknown. Of course, the “environmentalists” are having a fit, like Nicolas Hulot, French environmental activist told the Financial Times that putting Mr. Allegre in charge of national scientific research would be like “giving the finger” to scientists. Of course, he is referring to junk scientists who still believe in the global warming nonsense and follow those who would gain profit in the carbon credit business established by legislation of laws enforcing such policy.

In the US Congress, Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe, member of the Environment and Public Works Committee and a leading figure in Washington’s global warming skeptic group stated in a speech on the Senate floor:

I find it ironic that a free market conservative capitalist in the U.S. Senate and a French socialist scientist both apparently agree that sound science is not what is driving this debate, but greed by those who would use this issue to line their own pockets.

All the while, the Obama administration is making its move for the “Obamamobile” – but the government-approved public vehicle declared to save fuel, kills its passengers in a 25 mph automobile accident in the name of energy-saving and Green political policy. President Obama continues to insist that his administration is not taking over the auto industry, along with the financial industry that has been occurring during the previous two administrations. These events provide further proof that sociocrats everywhere believe in government For/By the Government and not The People and reinforces Steve Milloy’s book: Green Hell, concerning the environmental fundamentalists who want to govern people’s liberties in the name of saving Earth – of which the international Earth Week is all about, as well as Earth Day. To think green by keeping our planet as clean as possible in a sensible manner, as well as advocating sensible legislation and policy based upon real science and not junk, politically-motivated science should be the concern of everyone.

And of Ms. Pelosi, Rick Saunders at America’s Right wrote:

…Pelosi’s nonstop multi-somersaults of excuses, fabrications and dissemblings calculated to insulate her from blame or complicity in the CIA’s September 2002 briefing of her and other members of Congress on, among other things, “waterboarding,” have now nonetheless spun completely out of control. … Her feckless explanation for her amorphous positions and recollections translates roughly to: “well, it depends on what your definition of ‘briefing’ is.” For a more accurate, and therefore helpful recitation of what happened, former CIA Director Porter Goss laid it out last month. Here’s an excerpt from his April 24 Washington Post commentary, previously described here at America’s Right as a “must read” … Today, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich unloaded–to put it lightly and politely–on Pelosi, calling her “despicable,” “dishonest,” “vicious” and a “trivial politician viciously using partisanship for the narrowest of purposes.” Oh, yeah, and a “liar” too. …you need to listen to Gingrich’s remarks about Pelosi. You need to listen to them not because they are made by a former Speaker enraged that the current occupant of the position has besmirched the House of Representatives by denigrating, in a feeble attempt to cover-up her role in the 2002 CIA briefings on “enhanced interrogation techniques,” the very people trying to protect us from Islamist terrorists who want to decapitate us on videotape, but rather because the growing mountain of evidence seems unequivocally to confirm that they are true. Pelosi has lied. She has lied to the House. She has lied to the press. And, most importantly, she has lied to the American people. That means you. This isn’t a Democrat or Republican thing. Both should be equally outraged at the overt lies. …Pelosi has done more to sully and ruin the reputation of the House of Representatives than any prior Speaker. …the very people who sent her to Capitol Hill–should be ashamed, as should be all of the Democrat House members who elected her Speaker. But they will never admit to shame: libs don’t believe in admissions of shame or remorse. … Burned toast, they say, contains elevated levels of carbon. If the Obama administration throws Pelosi under the bus, as it should, the action will likely leave a long carbon footprint smear on the street. The environment, however, will be the better for it.
